Junior Web Producer and Dispatch Assistant

Are you looking to get a foot in the door and gain some experience in web publishing? We are a small team operating two online businesses in Leura in the Blue Mountains. We are looking for a recent communications or graphic design graduate or similar work experience, to take on a busy role.

Your main responsibility will be dispatch of fashion orders, picking and wrapping our customers' orders, and attending to their enquiries. You will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse runs like clockwork. You will also be responsible for checking in the new season deliveries, and assisting to upload stock onto the website, sourcing photos and cropping and uploading these onto the site. If you have writing skills, you will be assisting with product descriptions too – including measurements and fabric and care instructions.

While your main responsibility will be dispatch, you will be given the chance to polish your skills in writing and graphics – writing product descriptions, blog posts, adding products to the cross sell app, and also producing strong graphics using Photoshop for the email newsletter.

Other opportunities will include:

  • Assisting on photo shoots, preparing garments, styling them on the mannequins, and planning model fashion shoots, where we style outfits on live models.

  • Newsletter production - apply your graphic and written communication skills to producing our email newsletter. You'll be using Photoshop and Campaign Monitor to write and produce elegant and thoughtful emails.

  • Writing – write blog posts for the site that help highlight the beautiful clothing and how to style it.

  • Graphics – having graphic skills is a huge bonus, but if not, we can teach you some basic skills to help ensure the website is always super pretty.

  • Social Media – work with the Content Manager to come up with compelling posts for our social media channels.

Sound interesting? Here are the skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Degree in Marketing/ Communications/ Graphics / Arts/ or equivalent experience.

  • Technical aptitude – you will have the opportunity to use a lot of publishing tools, so you'll need to be a fast learner on Photoshop, Shopify, Campaign Monitor, Excel etc.

  • Great organisational skills – you'll need to work efficiently, accurately, attentively, and fast.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and desire to develop these skills.

  • A desire anddetermination to continue to develop skills and knowledge in digital marketing.
