There is no dress code that confuses me more than 'smart casual'. Every time I see those two words on an invite, I have a little heart attack and stress for the next month about what 'smart casual' really means. The more 'smart casual' events that I go to, the more confused I get and as a result, I retreat into the one outfit that I know I could wear to any event - enter the above. 

You can not go wrong with a pair of awesome pants, heels and a jumper when you're dressing smart casual this winter. This outfit, worn by fashion blogger Zanita Whittington, is  perfect.
