At times, shoe shopping can be a really stressful business. I don't know about you but I am constantly copping flack from certain family members about the expensive shoes that I have worn once, and have then left in the bottom of my wardrobe to gather dust (let's be honest, everyone has a pair like that, don't they?)... So every time I jump online to purchase a new pair I am constantly looking for something versatile.
Regardless of whether I am in-store or online shopping, without being able to try a pair of shoes on with three different outfits, it is hard to know which pairs will be versatile or not. I have curated three different My Friend Alice outfits, all using the trusty Finery Saffron Boot, for those of you who are still looking for a versatile boot.
I love this shoe because of its comfort, colour and the cute fringe detail on the side. It's perfect for so many occasions... Here's how I would wear it to three.
CASUAL LUNCH
This is probably my favourite way to wear the Saffron boots. They looks stunning when you tuck in these DL1961 Florence Jeans, especially considering this pair of jeans come to quite a slim ankle.
Keep it casual with a white tee, like this Fate Lara Tee, and a Lacambra handbag in a similar colour. The heel is just the right height - short enough to be worn on the school run, to a picnic, or to the shops.
All of Alice's Finery shoes are super comfortable as well so there's no need to bring a backup pair!
DINNER DATE
On a cool night, there is nothing worse than being forced to wear a strappy pair of toe-baring heels. But so many of the boots in stores this season just aren't nice enough to be worn out - the Saffron is an exception.
This Fate Tunic, which you can wear on its own, belted or over tights, looks lovely with these shoes - seriously throw away your 'brown and black don't match' misconceptions and try this look.
Throw over a Fate Metallic Cardi and accessorise with sunnies (depending on the time of day of course) and a 'look at me' necklace. Again, the heel is the perfect height for any occasion - it's not too short and not too high!
THE OFFICE
Throw away your stilettos because when you try this work appropriate outfit, you won't want to go back.
Wear your Saffrons with a pair of ponte pants, like this stylish pair by Once Was, and throw over a Mesop Shirt Dress for a perfect office look. I always like to put a lot of attention on my accessories when in the workplace, especially when wearing boots. Wear a nice pair of earrings and a trusty Lacambra tote to finish off your look.
