They say that a picture speaks a thousand words, but when it comes to online shopping I think that a picture speaks about a million!

We work by the philosophy that if you can't try it on, you need as much detail as possible, which is why we try everything on before we put them up on the site, why we measure each piece and why we try to include as many details as possible in the descriptions.

But still, without a picture it is hard to get an idea of what a top, dress or pant will look like on. So today we had a very busy day at the office, as we invited over a couple of wonderful women to try on our new arrivals and be photographed in them as well.

The gorgeous Angela and Lisa, both mums (Angela's youngest joined us for the day) from the Blue Mountains and friends of My Friend Alice's director Melissa, joined us today for a photo shoot - we had a fabulous time.

There were lots of laughs and lots of ooo-ing and ahh-ing over the beautiful clothes.

Photoshoot days are often really crazy, even when we are only using the mannequin, as we do most of our photography in house, but they are also a lot of fun as well.

While we would love to have you all around to join in (with a glass of wine in hand of course) it is pretty much impossible, so I thought I would share some of our behind the scene photos with you.
